The First Election of ISP-Internet Service
Provider Association was held on the 17th December 2006 at the office
of Bangladesh Computer Samity [Association], Dhaka. Total 14 candidates
under two groups were contested for 7 [seven] executive committee members
of ISP Association 2007-08. Out of 56 Association members 54 members cast
their votes.
The reform panel under the leadership of Md. Abdus Salam got the majority
seats. The newly 7 elected members of Executive Committee of ISP Association
are:

7. M. A. Hakim of Dhaka Com Ltd [Vote received 28] |

Mr. Azhar H Chowdhury of Grameen CyberNet Ltd is also a Director of Bangladesh
Development Gateway Foundation.
Congratulations
to all newly elected members. Bangladesh Development Gateway Foundation
hope that these newly elected members shall play an important role for strengthen
the ISP activities in whole of Bangladesh that eventually help to reach
our ultimate goal aiming at poverty elimination through application of ICT
and to promote sustainable development. |
